Peer Review Process

Review Process
All papers are blind refereed by members of the International Advisory Board in addition to selected reviewers. In this respect an Editorial Board and an International Advisory Board have been formed. The primary goal of the editorial and international advisory board is to maintain high quality of publications and expediting the time taken for the publication of the papers. The articles that are sent for reviews will have names of the authors deleted with a view towards enhancing the objectivity and fairness of the review process. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject papers without sending them out for review.

Notification: Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their manuscript by the Editor–in –Chief or the Associate Editor in charge. The publisher will also send a notification of receipt of the paper in production.

PDF proofs: One set of page proofs in PDF format will be sent by e-mail to the Corresponding Author. Corrections should be listed quoting line number, per the proof Query Form. If, for any reason, this is not possible, then the corrections and any other comment should be marked (including replies to the query form) on a printout of the author’s proof and return it by fax or scan the pages and e-mail.

The proof should only be used to check the typesetting, editing, completeness and correctness of the text, tables and figures. Significant changes to the article as accepted for publication will only be considered at this stage with permission from the Editor. We will ensure that any article submitted is published quickly and accurately. Therefore, it is important to ensure that all corrections are sent back to us in one communication: check carefully before replying, as inclusions of any subsequent corrections cannot be guaranteed. Proofreading is solely the author’s responsibility. Note that the Publisher (Moi University Press) will not proceed with publication if no response is received.
